Fan-Favorite Hallmark Channel Couple Are Finally Reuniting for a New Movie originally appeared on Parade.
Hallmark Channel fans are finally getting what they’ve been waiting for: a new movie that will reunite Tyler Hynes and Erin Krakow.
Hynes, 39, and Krakow, 40, will star in Christmas Above the Clouds, People revealed on Thursday, July 24. The holiday film — which is described as “a comedic, modern-day reimagining of A Christmas Carol” — will debut later this year during the network’s 16th annual Countdown to Christmas slate.
“When a workaholic CEO (Krakow) tries to skip Christmas by flying to Australia, she’s in for the flight of her life,” the official synopsis teases. “Haunted by her past, present and future, she’s forced to confront the choices that led to her success yet left her flying solo. With the help of three quirky spirits and a surprise reunion with her ex (Hynes), she might just rediscover the magic of Christmas — and the love she thought she’d lost.”

Hynes and Krakow’s new collaboration comes four years after they starred in the 2021 Hallmark Channel movie It Was Always You. Ever since, fans have been begging the two to reunite for another film.
“Christmas Above the CLOUD NINE working with Tyler again!” Krakow told People. “Ever since our 2021 Hallmark movie It Was Always You, we’ve been touched and overwhelmed by our viewers’ passionate pleas for a reunion project. We were thrilled to be able to reunite on this very special take on A Christmas Carol, and we can’t wait to share it!”
Hynes added, “To quote the great poet Peaches & Herb … ‘Reunited and it feels so good.’”
While Krakow and Hynes share very convincing onscreen chemistry, they aren’t actually an item in real life. She announced her marriage to her When Calls the Heart costar Ben Rosenbaum in June after a secret engagement. Hynes, for his part, has kept the details of his personal life private.
