Former CNN commentator Angela Rye said during a Thursday interview that she wishes President Donald Trump rigged the 2024 election because that would make her “feel better” about him getting so many votes.

Trump won the Electoral College and popular vote against former Vice President Kamala Harris in November, getting over 77 million votes, according to the Cook Political Report. Rye said on “The Breakfast Club” that she just has a feeling the election was rigged, floating conspiracy theories to back her sentiment. “I feel like black women and the Holy Ghost are very close. And I feel like if something about my Spidey senses are tingling — and they have been since the day after the election when we were all together — I don’t know, something is not right,” Rye said. “There’s the Elections Truth Alliance. I believe — ETA has a whole report on some of the inconsistencies in election results. There is another entity that I can’t think of right now that also has a report on this. Clark County had some irregularities in Nevada.”

“So, I mean, I have questions. And then why did Donald Trump say in January that Elon Musk knew how to work the local machines in Pennsylvania better than anybody and that’s why he won by a landslide?” she continued. “Who says that? … I think that he says some things that are jarring, especially about how he won the election. ‘We got some surprises for you,’ I think they said too. So yeah, I’m not sure, but I definitely don’t feel good about it. It would make me feel better knowing that he stole it rather than this many people would vote for this man.”

Left-wing media pundits are also already suggesting that the 2026 midterm elections will be rigged in favor of the Republican Party, citing Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” as at least part of the basis for their claims.

Former MSNBC host Joy Reid said on “The Left Hook with Wajahat Ali” July 3 that she felt it was “insane, honestly, to just assume we’re going to have normal elections next year,” citing Republicans voting in favor of the bill after opposing it.

“[Republicans are] not actually worried about getting reelected,” Reid said. “If they feared being reelected, they would not vote for this bill — because they know it’s going to devastate their states.”

Trump signed the sweeping legislation into law on July 4. It includes a permanent extension of his 2017 tax cuts and delivers on his campaign promises to remove taxes on tips and overtime pay, and permanently raise the child tax credit to $2,200.

Democrats have been hysterical about the bill becoming law, warning Americans would die due to changes to Medicaid benefits.
