The “Tortured Poets Department” singer will make her debut on Travis and brother Jason Kelce‘s show on the Aug. 13 (of course) episode.

Swift and her team haven’t yet announced an official release date for The Life of a Showgirl, but the “pre-pre-order” on her website specifies that physical copies of the album will ship before Oct. 13, 2025. The site does note, however, that the official release date is actually to be announced and that Oct. 13, 2025, is not the definitive release date.

When does TS12 come out?
The Life of a Showgirl is slated for a release sometime later this year, possibly around Oct. 13, 2025. That is a Monday (and is Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples’ Day in the United States) this year, with most albums dropping on Fridays, so it’s likely it may be released on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, or Friday, Oct. 17, 2025. However, with all the “2s” and “22s” in this rollout (more on those in a minute), it may likely drop on Aug. 22, 2025, as that’s a Friday.

What is Taylor Swift dropping?
Swift announced the upcoming drop of The Life of a Showgirl, her 12th album. As for what she’s specifically dropping, she announced (so far) the release of vinyl, CD and cassette formats of the album; the CD format also comes with a poster. It remains to be seen how many versions of the album there will be with different songs on them, if any.

What Taylor Swift album is orange?
Orange is the color theme for The Life of a Showgirl, Swift’s 12th album. It was teased in her Eras Tour, as well as on the Empire State Building lights on Aug. 11, 2025, and in the teaser for “New Heights.”
Fans speculated that Swift’s Eras Tour performances of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” from The Tortured Poets Department may have had Easter eggs to The Life of a Showgirl era thanks to the orange feathers featured.

While she hasn’t made any official announcements as of this writing, she recently shared a Spotify playlist titled “and baby, that’s show business for you.” It has 22 of her previous tracks on it, all of which are in alphabetical order and produced by Max Martin and Shellback, who worked with her on Red, 1989 and Reputation. The playlist is an hour and 22 minutes long. The collaborators she selected suggest a break from Jack Antonoff to return to her country-pop transitional roots.
