Festival season’s crown jewel, the Festival de Cannes, is here, and the stars are already turning heads with their fashion.
Today, Eva Longoria arrived for the opening ceremony and the Partir Un Jour screening at the iconic Palais des Festivals. She reflected the bright lights and golden rays of the French Riviera in a metallic gold gown pulled from Tamara Ralph’s Spring/Summer 2025 Couture
collection.
The golden metal was arranged in horizontal stripes across the dress, and looked like the most glamorous armor. The neckline was curved and strapless, and black panels on the sides of the gown created an hourglass shape when seen from the front.
The back of the dress revealed a black lace-up corset bodice and a giant bow that flowed into a long (but seemingly not long enough to break the news dress code rules) train.
As Harper’s Bazaar previously reported, the new guidelines state that nudity and excessive drama in the form of nudity or “voluminous outfits, in particular those with a large train, that hinder the proper flow of traffic of guests and complicate seating in the theater” are prohibited, and “decency” is encouraged.
The Desperate Housewives alum completed her ensemble with sky-high golden heels and gold jewelry: a statement necklace that looked like it was made of gilded leaves, and matching earrings. Her hair was down in side-parted Hollywood waves.
“Tell me you’re in Cannes without telling me you’re in Cannes 🇫🇷♥️” Longoria captioned an Instagram post featuring photos of other fabulous looks she’s already debuted while in the French city.
It’s only day one of the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival, but already we’ve seen show-stopping looks from celebrities including Bella Hadid, Irina Shayk, Heidi Klum, and Halle Berry.
