Emma Stone offered an unprecedented peek into her family life with husband Dave McCary and their 4-year-old daughter, Louise.
“There’s nothing I feel luckier about,” the actress, 36, told Vogue of her daughter in her September 2025 cover story. “She’s the greatest gift of my life, for sure.”
Like many parents, Stone is a fan of Bluey, with the outlet mentioning that she and Louise enjoy the season 2 episode “Sleepytime.”
Since becoming a mother, Stone noted that she’s changed the way she makes career decisions, explaining that she now tries to determine whether a project is worth spending months away from home or not seeing her daughter for long periods of time.

“It’s streamlined everything,” she said. “It’s a clichéd thing to say, but it changes everything. And simplifies everything.”
When asked whether parenthood has allowed her to become a better actor by diving deeper into her emotions, Stone described a shift that transcends her craft.
“I do think it unlocks different things,” she shared. “I don’t know if it’s specifically that, but I feel everything I could possibly feel because everything has exploded.”
Stone and McCary, 40, quietly tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed Louise in March 2021. Since their daughter’s arrival, Stone has kept the little one shielded from the spotlight.
During her 2024 Oscars acceptance speech for Poor Things, Stone gave Louise a sweet shout-out while thanking her family.
“And most importantly, my daughter, who is going to be 3 in three days and has turned our lives technicolor,” she gushed in March 2024. “I love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl.”
Elsewhere in her Vogue interview, Stone revealed how she bonded with her own mother, Krista, while shaving her head for her role in the upcoming film Bugonia. Right before the cut, she cried as she remembered her mom losing her hair during breast cancer treatment years earlier.
“She actually did something brave,” Stone thought at the time. “I’m just shaving my head.”
However, Krista was actually envious of her daughter, with Stone recalling, “My mom was like, ‘I’m so jealous. I want to shave my head again.’”
