Emma Stone and Dave McCary Match in Padres Merch for a Baseball Date

On Wednesday, Emma Stone enjoyed a sporty date night with her husband, Dave McCary, as the pair went to watch the San Diego Padres face off against the New York Yankees.

Although the game took place in Yankee Stadium, Stone wasn’t afraid to show off her Padres spirit, choosing a brown varsity bomber and pinstripe baseball hat—both embroidered with the San Diego logo—for the occasion.

She completed her ballgame ensemble with some blue jeans and a set of gold-framed sunglasses, which gave the fit a slightly vintage touch.

If you’ve been following the actor’s relationship, you’d know that Stone and McCary are not a divided household when it comes to sports. In fact, Stone’s comedy writer husband repped his own San Diego merch to the game.

For his part, McCary wore a chocolatey bomber of his own, which featured the Padres logo on the left, and a patch decorating one of the sleeves.

Underneath the jacket, McCary threw on a jersey that was embroidered with the surname of the Padres’s pitching coach, Ruben Niebla, and he completed his fit with a brown cap that had the San Diego logo emblazoned on the front, in yellow.

Clearly, one of the couple’s favorite bonding activities is going to Padres games, because they’ve been spotted cheering on the California team on multiple occasions. Their love of sports doesn’t end there though—let’s not forget their first-ever public outing was to see a basketball game in Los Angeles.

Ultimately, the Padres ended up losing to the Yankees, 3–4 this time around, but Stone and McCary’s enthusiastic fits were a win of their own.
