Miranda Lambert was joined on stage at the Academy of Country Music Awards by Ella Langley for a rendition of Lambert’s 2005 award-winning single “Kerosene.”
The duo literally set the stage on fire with their performance.
Lambert herself has won over 30 Academy of Country Music Awards over the years. Her first win was in 2007 for Top New Female Vocalist and her most recent was in 2023 as the recipient of the Triple Crown Award.
Langley is nominated for single of the year, music event of the year, song of the year (as both artist and songwriter), and visual media of the year (as both artist and director).
Prior to the award show, Langley was presented with the award for New Female Artist of The Year by Lambert. Presenting Langley with the award, Lambert said, “I’m here to tell you how proud I am of you for being the top nominated artist for the Academy of Country Music Awards this year. You are my friend, first and foremost, a fellow dog rescue advocate, you are a cowriter, you are my soul sister in Country Music and a partner in crime.” Lambert went on to share, “We are gonna celebrate so big in Dallas, Texas! They ain’t even ready!”
Kerosene was released in 2005 as a single off of Lambert’s debut album of the same name. The song was written by Lambert herself and produced by Frank Liddell and Mike Wrucke for the label Epic. The song peaked at number 15 on the Billboard US Hot Country Songs chart, and went Platinum by the RIAA. The song earned Lambert her first nomination for a Grammy in 2007 for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
In addition to performing Kerosene, Langley performed her track “Weren’t For The Wind,” after which Langley took home Single of the Year for the song. Discussing what the song taught her, Langley shared, “It taught me to just not care so much and write what you love.”
Lambert also performed her single ‘Run’, as well as her new single Trailblazer with Lainey Wilson and Reba McEntire.
