Her latest look at Miu Miu’s “Tales & Tellers” show, part of Frieze New York, perfectly embodied her styling philosophy.
For the chic night out, the former second daughter wore a simple cropped black tube top beneath a relaxed beige trench coat. She then layered on a bandana-like, blue printed poplin skirt from the Italian house over a pair of light-wash straight-leg jeans. It was a creative, funky twist that instantly elevated the look and reflected Emhoff’s love for signature offbeat layering.
Her footwear choice for the rainy New York City evening featured a pair of black squared-toed boots, surely meant to both look polished and keep her warm. Her outfit was accessorized with a brown suede purse from Miu Miu’s runway collection, adorned with multiple bag charms such as tassels and playful figurines.
Back in February during New York Fashion Week, she told Harper’s Bazaar she’s been leaning more into what feels true to her.
“Recently, I find myself less excited about taking fashion risks and more inclined to stay in my comfort zone,” she shared at the time. “I’m definitely prioritizing comfort overall—lots of oversized pants, sweaters, sneakers, and easy pieces you can just throw on. I do still love a fancy little top sometimes, but to me, that’s comfortable too.”
