The Dancing With the Stars family is celebrating on behalf of one of their own.

On July 27, DWTS cast member Alexis Warr revealed that she will be joining Strictly Come Dancing as a ballroom pro.

“Please welcome our two new Strictly Professional Dancers! Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon join the Strictly Come Dancing family when the series returns this autumn on #iPlayer,” read the announcement, shared by the BBC Press Office on Instagram. The post also appeared on Warr’s Instagram feed.

It didn’t take long for Warr’s friends from Dancing With the Stars to congratulate her.

“LETS GO @alexis_warr I can not wait to watch you shine,” wrote Mark Ballas.

“Congratulations Alexis!!! LETS GOOOOOO!!!” said Maks Chmerkovskiy.

“Let’s go @alexis_warr,” Sasha Farber added along with a string of hand clapping emoji.

Fans are also elated for Warr, who has been part of the DWTS troupe since Season 31. She’s also gone on tour with Chmerkovskiy and Derek Hough, adding more credentials to her impressive resume.

Now that Warr is on Strictly, she’s unlikely to join Dancing With the Stars as a pro for Season 34. However, it’s possible she could join the program in a full time role in the future.

Warr, who won season 17 of So You Think You Can Dance, has openly talked about her desire to be promoted to a ballroom pro.

“I will say the show loves to keep us on our toes, literally,” she told The U.S. Sun in 2023. “But yeah, they won’t tell us till very last minute. So, right now I’m just kind of doing what I can to prepare for the possibility of becoming a pro and just working on chasing my dreams and doing dance jobs here and there. And yeah, just trying to keep my brain and body occupied before, you know, that big announcement.”
