A Dancing with the Stars co-host is moving on, though luckily, she is not leaving the show. Julianne Hough officially sold the Hollywood Hills house she has called home for more than a decade.

According to TMZ, Hough’s home sold for $6.35 million. That is a fair amount under her original asking price of $7.95. However, it is also a big increase from the price she paid more than a decade ago.

Hough purchased the Hollywood Hills home in January 2014 for $1.94 million, according to Zillow. The move came not long after Hough split from American Idol and Wheel of Fortune star Ryan Seacrest, whom she dated for two years.

The 3-story, 3,000 square foot house was originally built in 1936. It has three bedrooms and four bathrooms, as well as a stone fireplace, hardwood flooring, and built-in cabinetry.

Floor-to-ceiling windows allow plenty of sunlight in and provide stunning views of the area. A covered terrace outdoors provides a wood-burning pizza oven, a dining area, and a built-in BBQ, along with a pool.

After the closing, which Zillow indicates took place on August 1, Hough shared a sentimental farewell via her Instagram Stories.

The property was gorgeous when Hough first acquired it, according to photos shared at the time on Trulia. However, the Dancing with the Stars entertainer brought in designer Jake Arnold to transform the place into a home filled with personality.

The original transformation was Arnold’s first-ever project, Hough told Architectural Digest in April. As he told the media outlet in August 2023, his transformation of Hough’s home landed him on the cover of Better Homes & Gardens.

In April, Architectural Digest noted that Hough had listed the property for rent in March 2022 for $40,000 a month. The Dancing with the Stars host moved to New York City during that timeframe, shared the New York Post.

During the time she lived in New York City, Hough rented a townhome in the West Village for $18,000 a month while continuing to own her Hollywood Hills home. The move came after her split from ex-husband Brooks Laich.

Hough’s Hollywood Hills home took her through being single after her split from Seacrest, through her marriage to Laich, and back to being single again.

Her brother, Derek Hough, and his now-wife, Hayley Erbert, even lived in the home with Julianne and Laich for a while. The place was also where she loved, and lost, her dogs Lexi and Harley, and where she more recently added a new dog to her life, Sunny.

She has not revealed where she will be living now that her Hollywood Hills home has sold, but Dancing with the Stars fans will be eager to see where she lands next.
