Katie Jane Hughes, the celebrity makeup artist behind many of Dua Lipa, Hailey Bieber and Ashley Park’s most flawless looks, has partnered with ILIA Beauty to celebrate the launch of the clean beauty brand’s first-ever powder blush: Soft Focus Blurring Blush.
Lightweight and buildable, ILIA’s new Soft Focus Blurring Blush starts as a cream that’s baked on terracotta tiles into a feather-soft powder. The end result? A weightless, easy to blend texture that visibly blurs pores. Think of it like the blurring effect of a camera lens, but in real life.
ILIA’s brand-new Soft Focus Blurring Blush is as much skincare as it is makeup. It contains ingredients typically found in skincare products, like edelweiss extract that smoothes skin and minimizes fine lines, winged kelp extract, that helps hydrate the skin and plant-based squalane to lock in moisture.

“When we were creating Soft Focus Blurring Blush, I wanted to create an ethereal softness. I’m still a graphic designer at heart and was inspired by the Gaussian blur filter effect to bring to life this diffused, soft-focus flush of color,” said ILIA founder Sasha Plavsic in a press release. “This is our first ever powder blush, and it was important to me to create a powder that doesn’t emphasize skin texture, while allowing for subtle, buildable pigment.”
The skincare-powered blush comes in eight stunning shades, each of which delivers a second-skin finish. The new Soft Focus Blurring Blush is available on ILIAbeauty.com and at Sephora and Ulta, both in-store and online.
