Doja Cat and Joseph Quinn Reportedly Split as Actor Seen With New Date

Rumors began circulating this week that musical artist Doja Cat and Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn might be dating after the two were spotted together in London. The situation is truly inspirational to anyone who’s had a longtime crush, as the rapper first suggested she was interested in Quinn in 2022.

But shortly after she made her first move, there were rumors that Doja was dating J.Cyrus, taking a Quinn romance off the table. Then recently, Doja was supposedly spotted with a profile on the dating app Raya, leading fans to think she might have split up with Cyrus.

Here’s everything we know about Quinn and Doja’s relationship timeline so far.

May 2022

Shortly before the release of Stranger Things 4: Volume 1 on Netflix, Doja wrote in a now-deleted tweet: “joseph quinn fine as shit.”

Later, after the release of Volume 2, a fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “Doja look how fine Joseph Quinn is,” and she replied, “It’s f-cking criminal.”

Quinn liked the first post, and the official Netflix Instagram account even shared a screenshot of it.

July 2022

In July 2022, Noah Schnapp revealed on TikTok that Doja Cat had DMed him about his costar, sharing their private messages from Instagram.

In the messages, Doja Cat asked Schnapp, “Noah can u tell Joseph to hmu. Wait no. Does he have a gf?”

Schnapp responded, “LMAOO slide into his [DMs].”

She answered, “Idk his IG or Twitter he doesn’t have a DM to slide into.”

Schnapp then gave her Quinn’s Instagram handle. She was clearly not expecting Schnapp to share their conversation publicly and ended up blasting his behavior during an Instagram livestream.

“The fact that Noah did that, like, went and posted a private conversation between me and him is so unbelievably socially unaware and whack,” she said. “That’s borderline snake shit, that’s weasel shit. And I’m not saying that encapsulates his entire personality.

She continued, “Maybe he is, like, a whole snake. But I didn’t see him that way. I made an assumption that he was gonna be chill about it, and he went and shared information that I didn’t feel comfortable with him sharing.”

Schnapp was 17 years old at the time—during the livestream, Doja also said, “To be fair, first let’s be chill about it. Like Noah is a kid…”—and they have both since apologized to each other.

August 2024

On August 18, DeuxMoi shared a video of the two walking in London with Quinn wrapping his arm around her shoulder and holding her hand behind his back. Another photo allegedly showed them together in Camden. And a third pic seemed to show them having a drink at a pub in London, enjoying an animated conversation.

September 2024

On Sept. 21, Doja Cat performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. During one moment in her show, she stopped to flash a large ring on her left hand’s ring finger before playfully laughing and turning away from the audience. Naturally, the gesture and jewelry sparked engagement rumors.

As she made the gesture, she sang, “Rub it in their face, put a rock on her hand.”

The next morning, she wrote a tweet and then deleted it that read, “no, im not engaged its a David Yurman ring with no rocks in it.”

February 2025

In photos shared by gossip Instagram account DeuxMoi on February 18, the pair can be seen in an airport in Mexico, appearing to be on a trip together. In several pics, Quinn puts his arm around the musical artist and in others he seems to be carrying their bags. The singer wore a short beige dress under a long black coat, while Quinn wore black pants and a brown windbreaker.

March 2025

On March 18, gossip blog Deux Moi shared stories of the pair being seen in London, notably at Dingwalls in Camden.

Quinn’s film Warfare had its Los Angeles premiere in late March and Doja Cat was seen leaving the after-party at the Sunset Towers Hotel with him that night. She was wearing a long gold gown under what looked like the actor’s suit jacket.

July 2025

In late July, The Sun reported that Quinn was seen on a date with model Amelia Zerbe at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

“Joseph and Amelia were really low key and, when they left, they made sure they went separately,” said an eyewitness. “He went ahead and got into the car before Amelia joined him. It seemed like they were on a date, but were keen not for anyone to notice them.”
