Doechii is always so uniquely herself. She doesn’t compromise.
Just this weekend, the “Denial Is a River” singer dressed in tribute to André Leon Talley, kicking her feet up and carrying Louis Vuitton gear, including a racket case like Talley himself once did.
It’s always been clear she likes to have fun with her style and doesn’t take things too seriously, which is why we love everything about the latest outfit she stepped out in ahead of the 2025 Met Gala.
The look is composed of a bunch of fashion contradictions—mismatched shoes, mixed patterns, high socks, heels, a bra. And yet, it all comes together to create the coolest synergy.
The rapper is continuing to champion the bra-as-top look, that she famously wears in the “Anxiety” music video, but for her latest outing, she layered her cupped white bra with a multi-colored zip-up jacket, in stripes of burnt orange, tangerine, and green. She wore striped white short shorts with pocket inserts longer than the shorts themselves.
One of her mismatched heels was light blue, one striped red and white, each had a strap over the center in their respective colors. Doechii wore the vibrant pumps with white knee-high socks.
She finished the look with a plaid newsboy cap, gold bracelets, long gold necklaces, and big statement earrings.
In 2022, Doechii told Harper’s Bazaar that she’s always looking to inspire other people to be themselves. “So that’s why I have to be free and I have to be a weird rockstar so that you can feel more comfortable to be a weird rockstar too,” she said.
At the Met this Monday, Doechii looked so dapper in a white monogram Louis Vuitton tuxedo jacket and matching checkerboard shorts. She capped off her suit look with a contrasting mahogany tie, matching shoes and socks, and a cigar.
