Disney World Fans Slam Major Price Hike for Beloved Event

On May 12, Disney Parks finally shared information about the upcoming 2025 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, including this year’s dates, but it was one less-publicized detail that got many fans’ attention.

Soon after Disney shared the dates, various publications highlighted a change in ticket prices for this year, noting that the highest-priced ticket for the event went up from $199 in 2024 to $229 in 2025.

The popular Disney news publication WDW News Today reported on the price change and shared the post on X, leading many fans to share their thoughts in the comments, questioning whether the price tag was worth it.

One fan outright said, “It’s not worth it! The candy is old and weird! The crowds and lines are unbearable. Don’t do it!” while another shared a similar reply, writing, “Oh boy, it’s the same played out offerings for a higher price point!”

A third joked, “The party may not be so scary, but those ticket prices are. 😱🎃,” while a different fan declared, “Don’t go! Don’t do it!” as they noted that the dates tend to fall within Florida’s rainy season, leading to cancellations.

Some fans noted, “It is a basic demand and supply. If they are selling out, they will increase until they are not selling out,” and “Given the guest demand it makes sense.”

Other parkgoers felt like “They need to do a refresh” for the price to be worth it, calling Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party “stale.”

Despite this, the event remains quite popular, with many people sharing excitement after the dates were officially announced. “I am so excited! This news totally just made my day,” wrote one such fan, while someone else said, “Always a ghoulishly good time!”
