It was a Disney Channel reunion this week as Monique Coleman from High School Musical and Morgan York from Hannah Montana attended former Disney mainstay Alyson Stoner’s New York City book launch.
Coleman played Taylor McKessie in the 2006 film High School Musical, while York played Miley Stewart’s classmate Sarah on Hannah Montana. York also appeared alongside Stoner in the 2003 Film, Cheaper by the Dozen.
Stoner’s breakthrough arrived when they were just 9 years old, and they were a featured dancer in Missy Elliott’s iconic 2002 “Work It” music video. In the years to come, Stoner would become a fixture on the Disney Channel, appearing in hit shows like Phineas and Ferb, as well as the beloved Camp Rock movies, in which they starred alongside Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers.

The former child star’s debut memoir Semi-Well-Adjusted Despite Literally Everything, is out now, with Stoner taking to Instagram to share a carousel of images from a book launch event held in New York City.
In Stoner’s Instagram caption, they wrote, “So many tears!! 🥹 Thank you to every person who made Publication Day for #SemiWellAdjusted so memorable.”
They added a thank you to Coleman for her “nourishing presence,” and added: “I also reunited with @morganyorkwrites, my sibling from Cheaper by the Dozen! It’s been a billion years since we last saw each other… Cue more tears.”
Speaking to PEOPLE about the new book, Stoner — who will return to Disney for the much-anticipated Phineas and Ferb revival — said, “I see this book as an opportunity to dismantle and deconstruct lots of myths — and even my own persona — so that I can more freely design my path moving forward. If that means fading into obscurity, but participating as a local community member, that sounds absolutely fantastic to me.”
“I’m starting a new chapter and it’s truly blank,” they continued. “That’s super liberating. I wasn’t aware that [by writing this book], I would be freeing myself through the process.”
