Disney famously goes out of its way to make every experience as magical as possible for its guests, from cast members going above and beyond to make parkgoers feel at home to incorporating Easter eggs into every aspect of their properties, down to tiny details in their hotels and resorts.
So it’s no surprise that the brand is making changes at its resort properties to improve guest stays, including a few that parents will especially appreciate.

According to the Disney Parks Blog, special perks will be rolling out for guests who stay at Disney World Resort hotels. Characters will be out earlier in the parks for hotel guests during their daily early theme park entry period, so fans can meet their favorites right at rope drop.
Additionally, “guests staying at select resorts – Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – will be able to enjoy even more Disney-themed activities designed for families with kids.”
Perks like complimentary transportation around Disney World will continue and be boosted by activities like character visits with set appearance times and Disney movie nights.
Not staying at a Disney Resort hotel? No problem, as some of these perks extend to all park visitors. “Families should be on the lookout for limited-time experiences perfect for young kids in the theme parks, including kid zones featuring new activities and fun ways to interact with more Disney characters,” said the site. This rollout will start May 27 and end Sept. 1.

“There will be pop-up entertainment offerings, games, music, dancing and other adventures to help your little ones make those core Disney memories,” the post continued before breaking down the changes in detail.
There will be kid zones in Magic Kingdom in Storybook Circus and in Tomorrowland with Stitch, and Goofy will take over CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT in early June.
Two new shows, “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” and “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After,” will debut this summer, and the first nighttime parade at Disney World in nearly 10 years, Disney Starlight, will also premiere at the Magic Kingdom later this summer.
Disney fans can also take advantage of a few earlier rollouts, including luggage assistance, which lets guests at Disney Value Resort hotels (All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, All-Star Sports, Art of Animation, and Pop Century) drop off their baggage with the resort before their departure on Southwest flights from Orlando International Airport to bypass baggage lines at the airport.
