NEED TO KNOW
Taylor Swift has fans speculating whether she wore her own official merchandise to announce her 12th studio alum, The Life of a Showgirl, on Jason and Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast
The singer sported a white button-down blouse during the episode as seen in a teaser clip ahead of the Aug. 13 release at 7 p.m. ET
Swift paired the dress shirt with $30K worth of Cartier jewelry and lipstick in an orange shade, which has Swifties believing she’s entering a new era based on the color in association with the blurred-out album cover
Move over, band tee — it’s concert button-down era. Just ask Taylor Swift!
The pop superstar, 35, announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, in a teaser released ahead of her New Heights podcast debut — and eagle-eyed Swifties believe she wore her very own merch for the occasion.
What appeared to be a simple white blouse with buttons lining the middle of the shirt, as seen on Swift in a clip released on the eve of the episode’s Aug. 13 release at 7 p.m. ET, might actually be the 1989 (Taylor’s Version) Seagull Blue Stripe Poplin Shirt sold on her official website for $50.
It’s hard to tell from the teaser clip alone since the 14-time Grammy winner faces forward the entire time. The only way to confirm if Swift is wearing her own merchandise is if she turned around, which would reveal whether there are seagulls and a sun printed on the back like her merch on site.

Furthermore, the official merch is designed with thin, blue pinstripes that overlay the collared, white blouse. Due to the lack of camera zoom in the podcast clip, it’s difficult to identify the pattern on Swift’s top in the shot.
However, this wouldn’t be the first time the record-breaking artist rocked the 1989 (Taylor’s Version) Seagull Blue Stripe Poplin Shirt! Earlier this summer, she was spotted wearing the garment while on a lunch date with boyfriend Travis Kelce in Ohio in early July.
The couple were seen dining at JoJo’s Bar in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, near Travis’ hometown, on July 1. The tight end wore a horizontal striped blue shirt, while the musician wore the striped dress shirt paired with a pleated skirt and her signature blonde hair swept back into a ponytail.
“Taylor and Travis came in and had a wonderful time,” John Ponyicky, a manager at JoJo’s, told PEOPLE exclusively at the time. “They had a great lunch, enjoyed our food, and were really impressed with the team.”
“Travis grew up in Cleveland Heights, so he decided to visit somewhere he was familiar with,” he added. “He and Taylor were both really pleasant. They sat at the bar for a bit, but also had a private lunch in a private room.”

Should Swift be wearing her own brand in the New Heights episode, she’d be joining cohost Jason Kelce in sporting her merch. The retired Philadelphia Eagles center rocked a shirt from the Eras Tour line.
Jason’s shirt was a navy blue crew with a white silhouette of Swift’s face on the front and “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour” text down the sleeve. He paired it with his go-to black headphones, his staple podcast accessory when recording.
As for Swift’s accessories, she popped on $30K worth of Cartier accessories for the occasion (quite a contrast to the $50 button down shirt she might be wearing in the episode).
In classic Swift fashion, the artist scattered Easter eggs throughout the seconds-long teaser — including a subtle hue-focused hint that she’s entering a new era. In short, it’s all about orange!

Taylor Swift announces her next album “The Life of a Showgirl” on the “New Heights” podcast
Over the years, Swift’s albums have taken on a life of their own and it’s all thanks to the meticulous attention she puts into her color-coded catalog that she references on and off stage, often through her outfits — and glam!
In the New Heights teaser, the pop superstar swapped her famed crimson red lip for an orange shade, which appeared to match the coloring of her blurred-out album cover.
Although the forthcoming album was just recently introduced, some Swifties believe that the singer started Showgirl-ing her wardrobe during her record-breaking Eras Tour — but more specifically, when she introduced a slew of new orange looks during the European leg last spring.
