Prepare for a celebration of musical rebellion as the iconic new wave pioneers Devo bring their electrifying 50th-anniversary tour to fans worldwide. Fresh off the success of their Netflix documentary, the band is set to livestream their acclaimed Denver concert from the Mission Ballroom on November 13th via Veeps. This highly anticipated event coincides with the release of “Energy Dome Frequencies: Songs from the DEVO Documentary,” a new companion album that dives deep into their unique five-decade legacy.

For five decades, Devo has challenged conventions with their visionary fusion of punk, pop, and electronic experimentation, all while championing their satirical philosophy of “de-evolution.” Now, the legendary band invites fans old and new to witness their enduring impact with a special livestream event and a new album, both celebrating their remarkable 50-year career.

Experience the “50 Years of De-Evolution” Live from Denver

On November 13th, fans around the globe will have a unique opportunity to experience Devo’s acclaimed live show directly from Denver’s Mission Ballroom. Titled “Devo: 50 Years of De-Evolution…Continued!, Live from The Mission Ballroom,” this one-night-only event will be streamed exclusively on Veeps. The performance promises a high-energy blend of art, satire, and synth-fueled spectacle that has come to define Devo’s legacy, featuring hits spanning their illustrious career from “Uncontrollable Urge” and “Whip It” to “Freedom of Choice.”

Tickets for the livestream are available for $19.99 in advance and $24.99 on the day of the show. For those with a Veeps All Access subscription, the event will be viewable for free. The concert will also be available for rewatching on Veeps for three days following the premiere, allowing fans across all time zones to relive the experience or enjoy it for the first time. A limited run of exclusive merchandise will also be available for purchase during the stream.

This Denver performance holds particular significance as it is one of the band’s final tour dates of the year, part of their continuing concert farewell, making it a poignant celebration of Devo’s remarkable journey. The band recently wrapped up their “The Cosmic De-Evolution Tour” with The B-52s, which concluded on November 2nd in The Woodlands, Texas. Their final scheduled headline date for 2025 is November 15th at the Palace Theatre in Saint Paul, Minnesota, as listed on Club Devo.

“Energy Dome Frequencies”: The Definitive Documentary Soundtrack

Complementing the livestream announcement is the release of “Energy Dome Frequencies: Songs from the DEVO Documentary,” the official companion album to the band’s acclaimed Netflix documentary, which premiered in August. Released on October 31st as both an LP and CD, this compilation features unforgettable Devo hits and pivotal tracks that trace the band’s journey from their early beginnings in 1970s Ohio to their rise to new wave fame in the 1980s.

The album is available on vinyl and CD via Rhino, allowing fans to own a piece of this auditory history. The tracklist provides a comprehensive overview of Devo’s influential sound and lyrical prowess:

  • Mongoloid (Warner Version)
  • Jocko Homo (Warner Version)
  • (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction
  • Uncontrollable Urge
  • Girl U Want
  • Freedom of Choice
  • Whip It
  • Gates of Steel
  • Working in the Coal Mine
  • Beautiful World
  • Through Being Cool
  • That’s Good

A limited-edition bundle featuring the red-vinyl LP and an insert signed by original members Mark Mothersbaugh, Gerald Casale, and Bob Mothersbaugh is also available at Devo’s official online store, providing an exclusive collector’s item for dedicated spuds.

Devo’s Enduring Legacy: 50 Years of De-Evolution

Born from the countercultural ferment of 1970s Ohio, Devo quickly established themselves as pioneers of new wave and post-punk. Their distinctive visual style—most famously the Energy Dome helmets—and their sharp, often satirical commentary on society’s “de-evolution” set them apart. Their music, characterized by synth-driven melodies, angular guitars, and quirky vocals, became a soundtrack for a generation disillusioned with conventional norms.

The global success of their recent Netflix documentary has introduced their unique narrative to a new audience while rekindling appreciation among long-time devotees. The documentary, filled with rare footage from their early days, highlights their artistic and conceptual depth, reinforcing why their message of musical rebellion and countercultural commentary remains as relevant today as it was 50 years ago. This livestream and soundtrack release serve as a powerful testament to Devo’s enduring influence and innovative spirit.
