The Denver Nuggets raced to a 36-23 lead over the Houston Rockets at the end of the first quarter. Nikola Jokic scored 14 points.
Denver had a 65-52 lead at the break. Jokic scored 16 on 6-for-7 shooting, including 3-for-4 from the 3-point line. Aaron Gordon added 13 points and seven rebounds.
On the other hand, Amen Thompson had 14 points and five rebounds on 6-for-9 shooting. Alperen Sengun and Fred VanVleet scored 12 points apiece.
