DeAnna Pappas has filed a request asking the court to reinstate the terms of the original custody and visitation agreement with her ex-husband Stephen Stagliano.
The former Bachelorette is alleging that Stagliano is restricting consistent visitation with their two kids, Addison, 11, and Austin, 9. Pappas claims that she’s been “fully compliant” with all the requirements she was ordered to follow since April 3, which include all Soberlink testing, daily Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, weekly therapy with a certified addiction specialist, and ongoing work with a sober sponsor.
Pappas’ filing states that her visitation rights under the original agreement dated March 26, 2025, were automatically suspended due to her drinking while the kids were in her custody, a violation of the agreement. The agreement states that Pappas may ask the court to reinstate her rights following the violation.
While Stagliano is not legally required to permit visitation until the court rules on her filing, Pappas claims that Stagliano won’t let her consistently see their kids, alleging that he has displayed “controlling and obstructive behavior.” Pappas also says he’s offered limited time on short notice and has later withdrawn those offers without offering an explanation.

Pappas is asking that the court reinstate their visitation schedule from a March 26 stipulation until their next hearing, which is scheduled for June 25.
In April, Stagliano requested changes to the custody agreement for his and Pappas’ two kids. He requested $1,000 per month in child support, stating that his “financial situation has changed drastically” and he was “looking for work.”
In a four-page income and expense declaration, Stagliano claimed, “As of April 2025, I have no income. I am actively looking for a job, and DeAnna’s constantly changing work schedule and her drinking has made it incredibly difficult to do so.”
Stagliano claimed that the former Bachelorette star has alleged alcohol issues, which are also the reason behind Stagliano’s request for “alcohol testing/monitored visits if indicated.”
Stagliano listed multiple alleged incidents indicating Pappas’ alleged alcohol abuse issues that he states began in September 2019.

The alleged incidents include receiving a “distressing text” from his daughter, Addison, while in her mother’s care in October 2023 and being told by their daughter that she is “scared” while she was with her mother in November 2023.
In addition to the alleged Feb. 26 incident in which Stagliano claimed Pappas assaulted him during a custody exchange that led to Pappas’ arrest, Stagliano also referenced an alleged April 3 incident in which he claims Pappas “put our children in a dangerous situation due to her drinking.”
Stagliano’s requests came after Pappas released a statement on her Instagram Stories on April 3, claiming detectives determined she was not the primary aggressor in the Feb. 26 incident.
“On behalf of our client, Deanna Pappas, we wish to address recent public speculation and clarify the current legal status of matters stemming from an incident involving her former spouse,” the statement read.
“After a full investigation and review of video evidence, the assigned detective determined that Ms. Pappas was not the aggressor. No criminal charges were filed,” the statement continued.
