One of Daytime’s most popular stars has taken to social media to announce a major career change, as the Daytime Emmy winner embarks on an exciting new opportunity.
Judi Evans shared a new photo of herself on Instagram announcing the new direction in her life captioning the post, “Last week I did something terrifying and empowering, I went to an open mic and did a stand-up set.
It was a thrill! I want to push myself to do things that scare me- because what else is life about? I decide to audition for another stand-up competition- and I got in!!
I’ll be performing/competing next Wednesday, July 30th at Flapper Comedy Club! It will only be my second time on stage, so be gentle… but come say hi and giggle with me!”

Evans Days of Our Lives co-stars Molly Burnett and Paul Telfer took to the comment section to share excitement with Burnett posting “YES!!!!” and Telfer sharing “Brava!!”
The event is described as “Enjoy a showcase of comedians in an intimate setting in our fabulous Yoo Hoo Room. Come on out and celebrate the middle of the week, with LA’s hottest up and coming comedians & surprise celebrity guests. And treat yourself to some steak or salmon and a fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, because you deserve it!”

Evans began her daytime career in 1983 on the CBS series Guiding Light where she originated the role of Beth Raines. From there she joined Days of Our Lives as Adrienne Johnson in 1986 until 1991, when she joined Another World as Paulina Cory. The actress then returned to Days of Our Lives in 2003 as Bonnie Lockhart and has played the role off and on since. Additional soap related credits include As The World Turns, Venice: The Series, The Grove, and The Bay.
