The late Betty White left a lasting impression on Bones star David Boreanaz when she appeared on the crime drama as a guest star in 2015.
“They drive her in and put her — Ms. White — [they] usher her in. And she says hello to everybody,” Boreanaz recalled at a panel commemorating the show’s 20th anniversary during the Television Academy’s Televerse festival on Aug. 16 in Los Angeles, according to PEOPLE. “And Emily [Deschanel] and I are waiting for her. And she’s like, ‘Good to see you. Oh, good to see you. You’re so nice. You’re so pretty.’ She goes up to Emily — ‘Oh, you’re so pretty.'”

He said White had a very different comment for him: “She looks at me, she goes, ‘Holy s—, I want to f— you. I want to f— you!’ I just started laughing.”
Deschanel, one of several of Boreanaz’s costars at the event, said she wasn’t aware of that.
“I’m not saying it didn’t happen,” she said. “I’m saying I didn’t hear that, but that’s amazing.”
The legendary actress, who died in December 2021, was known for her fantastic, often wicked, sense of humor, which she put on display in projects such as The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Golden Girls, and Hot in Cleveland. Over a career that began in the 1940s, she won eight Emmy Awards (both Primetime and Daytime).
She appeared on the Fox series twice: in 2015 and 2017. Both times, she played Dr. Beth Mayer, the world’s most experienced forensic anthropologist.

In what became her final interview with Entertainment Weekly, White was still funny. When asked what was left on her bucket list, she quipped, “Robert Redford.”
She said the same when asked who she’d want to have her favorite drink, vodka on the rocks, with.
White was married to TV game show host Allen Ludden from 1963 until his death in 1981.
