Following the success of The Idea of You, Anne Hathaway has set her sights on another popular book-to-screen adaptation: Verity by Colleen Hoover. She’ll reunite with The Idea of You director Michael Showalter for the Prime Video movie.
“Verity is coming to theaters and I am so excited for this cast and the script and the director and the whole team bringing this to life. Cannot wait. More coming soon!” Hoover posted on Instagram.

The film’s script is written by Nick Antosca.
Hathaway will star as Verity Crawford.
In addition, Dakota Johnson will star as Lowen Ashleigh and Josh Hartnett will play Jeremy Crawford. “Excited is an understatement,” Hoover wrote of the casting news.

In May, Johnson shared she had wrapped filming. “We just finished filming,” she told Deadline. “I didn’t know what Verity was before I was sent the script, and it’s based on a Colleen Hoover novel that I guess is quite popular. People are really into it.”
No premiere date has been announced.
Deadline reports Verity could be released in theaters, instead of straight to Prime Video.
