Kyle Ingram-Baldwin, 40, had blamed his persistent stomach ache on stress or gallstones, finally seeking medical care in October 2024
Scans discovered that the dad of four had colon cancer that had spread throughout his body, leaving him with a devastating prognosis
He died in June, just eight months after his diagnosis — and urged people to seek medical care sooner
A father of four who had chalked up his stomach ache to stress has died — just eight months after he was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer.
Kyle Ingram-Baldwin first saw his doctor in October 2024, seeking treatment for a persistent stomach ache that he’d dismissed as stress or gallstones. But the pain grew so severe that he went to the emergency room, where scans discovered that the 40-year-old dad had concerning growths on his liver, according to Daily Mail.

Kyle Ingram-Baldwin, 40, died eight months after his colon cancer diagnosis.
Further tests confirmed that these were cancerous growths. Then Kyle, who hailed from the English county of Kent, was given the devastating news that he had colon cancer which had metastasized throughout his body.
“I was thinking, what’s going on here? What have I done wrong? I was putting the blame on my own feet and worrying about the future for my wife and kids,” the dad, who shared four children, aged 12, 9, 3, and 1, with his wife Becky, said before his passing.
“That’s probably the hardest thing: the mental side. Don’t get me wrong, the physical is not funny either, but it’s a mental challenge.”
He underwent chemotherapy, but it failed to halt the spread of the cancer. Once colon cancer has metastasized, the prognosis is grim, the American Cancer Society explains, with patients having a 13% chance of surviving.
Shortly before his death, Kyle said, “It’s really hard to put into words, because I love my kids so much. You just worry about their future. They’ve got the best mum in the world, and I genuinely mean that. My wife’s incredible.”’

His family launched a fundraiser on June 8 to pay for alternative treatments, as he said he was “not prepared to give up” — but 8 days later, on June 16, Becky shared that “Kyle took a very sudden and unexpected turn and we lost him yesterday. He was the most incredible man I have ever met, and I know he would want me to thank everyone for all your sharing and donations,” which she said would be returned.
Before his death, he urged people to seek medical care “If you think anything’s wrong.”
“Go get it checked,” he said. “I genuinely wouldn’t want anyone being in my position.”
