Over the last few years, the humble sweatsuit—once reserved for serious at-home lounging or Netflix binge-watching—has emerged as a serious contender for all of our daytime dressing needs. Now, it seems Cynthia Erivo is jumping in on the laid-back-but-dressy style, and who can blame her for wanting to stay as comfy as possible? She is a busy woman after all.
Fresh off her Oscars performance alongside Wicked co-star Ariana Grande, Erivo opted for an emerald-green sweatshirt and pants combo for her outing in New York City. How very Elphaba of her.
Erivo layered the set, made by Sporty & Rich, under a long, sandy trench coat and styled it with tan ankle boot heels. Staying cozy amid the brisk NYC winds, Erivo added a touch of warmth via a pair of long Alo socks, which she showed off by loosely tucking her bottoms into.
Of course, no look of the Tony winner’s would be complete without a bevy of accessories. Erivo dressed up her ensemble by peppering in a few gold accent jewelry pieces, including two layered necklaces with one draping lower than the other. She also added a pair of chunky gold hoops and some gold-rimmed sunglasses, going bold with the metallic details. Oh, and don’t forget her colorful, pointy manicure!
As for her bag du jour, Erivo slung a large brown Gucci monogram tote on her shoulder to hold all of her witchy essentials.
