Country Star Reveals He’s ‘Going Into Debt’ for Upcoming Shows originally appeared on Parade.
Zac Brown is going all-in for his upcoming residency in Las Vegas, even if it means his bank account will take a hit.
The country star is gearing up for his highly anticipated shows at Sphere, which are set to begin in December. While the excitement is palpable, Brown admitted he’s “going into debt to make it happen.” The 46-year-old told Us Weekly in an article shared on Friday, July 25, “It’s a big moment in time and it’s like, for us, I want to be among the names of the Grateful Dead and the Rolling Stones and the bands that take that lifelong career impact.”
The four-show run coincides with the release of the Zac Brown Band’s new album, Love & Fear, which is set to drop on December 5 — the same night the residency kicks off. The band’s shows at Sphere will mark a historic milestone as they become only the second country act to perform there, following Kenny Chesney.
Despite the financial strain, Brown is determined to push through any obstacles, saying, “Whatever adversity, I’m just like, ‘OK, bring it.’” Fans can expect an emotional ride both through the new album and the live performance, with Brown promising a sense of awe and unpredictability. “There’s lots of forces that are always trying to distract you from what you’re doing, and you just got to just keep plowing, keep going,” he stated.

“I hope they feel wonder,” Brown said, “I love pulling out covers that no one would ever expect us to play.” The band is meticulously preparing for the concert, with Brown sharing that he hasn’t “seen anything like what we’re doing there. So, it’s really exciting.”
That’s not the only exciting milestone the country artist has recently shared. He announced his engagement to jewelry designer Kendra Scott on Thursday, July 24, a move which shocked many.
