Country Star Megan Moroney’s “Thirst Trap” on Instagram Has Fans Saying She’s “Poetry in Motion” originally appeared on Parade.
Country star Megan Moroney knows how to keep her fans entertained both on and off the stage. The “Tennessee Orange” singer posted an Instagram reel on Monday, August 4 with the caption “thirst trap.” The video features her at what appears to be a hotel pool, but if you’re expecting a sexy bikini photo, you’re sadly mistaken.
What she did post was even better — a video of her bellyflopping, fully clothed in a sports jersey into the pool.

It’s an epic splash that shows she doesn’t take herself too seriously, and fans are absolutely here for it. They love her vibe and want her to know it with comments like, “And this is why we all love you,” and, “I love whatever’s wrong with her.”
Others got into the sarcastic humor and rated her “form.” Comments included, “incredible form 10/10,” “Immaculate belly flop form,” and, “Send her to the Olympics.” One admirer even said, “Poetry in motion.”

Moroney also had fans talking recently when she posted a photo of her resurfaced high school yearbook onto her Instagram. For her senior quote, she had chosen “Mind your own biscuits and life will be gravy,” a lyric from fellow country star Kacey Musgraves’ popular song “Biscuits.”
Kacey herself had actually posted the photo to her own Instagram, and Megan shared it, adding, “Biggest Kacey stan from day 1.”
Moroney has openly credited Musgraves as a significant influence on her songwriting journey. She has mentioned that her debut album, Same Trailer, Different Park, inspired her to start writing songs.
Maybe there will be a collab in the future? Fans can only hope.
