Country superstar Kane Brown will appear in the series premiere of the newest installment of Ryan Murphy’s 9-1-1 universe when it premieres on ABC on Thursday, Oct. 9.

While little is known about Brown’s role, a press statement reveals that he “proves to be heroic in a major storyline in the episode.”

The “Miles on It” singer hinted at his role just hours before it was announced.

While Brown can barely be seen in the Instagram Stories video as he walks around outside in the dark, he is heard speaking to his followers.

“What’s up, guys? So I have a little TV shoot I’m doing this morning,” he says. I can’t tell y’all what I’m doing, but it’s gonna be sick, and I’m excited!”

Brown also reveals that he is up at 3:45 a.m. to fit in a workout before his call time of 6:45 a.m. to shoot.

This is hardly Brown’s first foray into television.

In addition to his many TV performances and interviews, he has also lent his expertise to up-and-coming singers in a mentor capacity on both American Idol and The Voice.

He also made his acting debut on season 1 of Fire Country in 2023.

Brown has also hosted the CMT Awards three times.

9-1-1: Nashville already has country music royalty in its main cast.

Father of the Bride actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, wife of country legend Brad Paisley, and country icon LeAnn Rimes are two of the series’ main cast members.

They appear alongside Chris O’Donnell, who played Robin in Batman Forever and Batman & Robin as well as starring on the entire run of NCIS: Los Angeles, and Jessica Capshaw, of The Practice and Grey’s Anatomy fame.

Also in the cast are Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz and Hunter McVey.

The show is described in its synopsis as “a high-octane procedural about heroic first responders, as well as their family saga of power and glamour set in one of America’s most diverse and dynamic cities.”
