Ella Langley may be known for her wispy bangs, but she recently turned heads when she debuted a fake mustache in front of a large crowd as part of a tour stop at First Bank Amphitheater in Franklin, Tenn.
The hilarious moment occurred on Thursday, June 19 while Langley was singing her lines of the No. 1 smash, “You Look Like You Love Me” — a duet with fellow country star Riley Green. Langley slapped on the faux facial hair mid-spin as a prank to her duet partner, who had recently been in the news for shaving off his facial hair.
Needless to say, the moment was unexpected, seemingly even to Green, himself!
A video shared on TikTok shows Langley dressed in a leopard print pantsuit. She receives a helping hand from Green, who leads her down some steps as she flaunts the facial hair for all to see. The 26-year-old Alabama native could barely contain her laughter. She let out a small giggle while modeling the new hair across her upper lip.
Before launching into the chorus, Langley ripped the mustache off and stuck it to Green’s shirt. Fans, too, got in on the spectacle as Langley passed out fake mustaches to the crowd, according to one follower, who wrote, “She also gave people in the crowd mustaches during her set.”
The hilarious mustache prank may be in response to the rumors that have been swirling about a romance between Green and Langley, who also share a duet on “Don’t Mind If I Do.” Despite the chatter, Green has spoken out with hopes of putting those rumors to rest.
“Ella’s probably too smart to date me anyway,” he previously said during a conversation on an episode of The Viall Files podcast. “I think that’s kind of the country music fan, like they love the Tim McGraw and Faiths, and the George and Tammys, and I think people want to believe that. When we first started having the success we did with that song, I kind of told Ella, I was like, ‘There are going to be a lot of things said, but I mean, we don’t really gotta play into it…it’s gonna be something that people enjoy in the same way we do when we go and listen to those songs.’”
Langley has been touring on Green’s Damn Country Music Tour since last November. She is currently scheduled to join the trek through August 2025.
