Tyrese Haliburton is still in pursuit of his first NBA championship ring, but the Indiana Pacers star secured a far more personal ring this offseason.
The 25-year-old is retiring his boyfriend title and is officially off the market after proposing to his longtime girlfriend Jade Jones, leveling up their six-year dating.
On Monday, the Pacers point guard took to social media to share a glimpse of his unforgettable proposal.
“The place where our story started, and where our next chapter begins,” Haliburton’s Instagram caption reads along with a carousel of photos capturing the special moment at Hilton Coliseum in Iowa.
Despite still recovering from the torn Achilles he suffered during the 2025 NBA Finals, the Pacers star dropped to one knee in front of a romantic display that read “Will you marry me,” with rose petals scattered across the floor.

The comment section was filled with heart emojis and congratulatory messages from fellow athletes and fans.
Jones responded with a short yet sweet message saying “Future Mrs. What the Hali” with crying emojis, expressing her overwhelming joy and emotion over the proposal.
WNBA star and close friend Caitlin Clark also celebrated the couple and commented, “WEDDING TIMEEEEE. LOVE YALL.”
In addition to former Iowa Hawkeye star Caitlin Clark, teammate Lexie Hull also sent her congratulations, writing, “YAYAYAY!!!! Congrats, you two.”
Fellow NBA stars like Milwaukee Bucks’ Myles Turner added to the congratulatory messages with a simple “Congrats Y’all!”
The same goes for Buddy Hield of the Golden State Warriors, who wrote “Congratulations, my Dawg.”
Of course, the celebration will not be complete without special messages from Haliburton’s team as Pacers’ official Instagram took to the comments and left a one-word message.
“Congratulations,” along with blue and yellow hearts emojis, in reference to the teams’ iconic colors.
Meanwhile, the sister of Haliburton’s girlfriend couldn’t help but leave a playful remark and commented, “The scooter is a paid actor,” referring to the scooter in the background.
Haliburton and Jones first met in 2019 at Iowa State University, where they were both students, marking the beginning of their relationship.
