Livia Giuggioli Firth revealed that her ex-husband Colin Firth gets along well with her new boyfriend, Callum Grieve.
“Colin and Callum are good friends and they’re both huge [Premier League soccer team] Arsenal supporters. Arsenal is a big theme in our family,” Livia, 55, told Hello! Magazine in an interview published on Monday, May 5.
Livia and Colin were married from 1997 to 2019. The former couple share sons Luca, born 2001, and Matteo, born 2003. Additionally, Colin has son Will, born 1990, from his relationship with actress Meg Tilly. Colin has been with his current girlfriend, TV writer Maggie Cohn, since 2022 while Livia has been dating boyfriend Callum for the past two years.
Livia, an environmental activist and political advocate, confirmed that she’s maintained a good relationship with Colin for the sake of their two sons.
“We’re always together. Colin and I have a wonderful relationship,” she said. “We have worked on that a lot, and in keeping the family together. I have a partner; he has a partner and we’re all together all the time. It’s an extended, crazy family.”
Colin and Livia made the shocking announcement in December 2019 that they were separating after 22 years of marriage.

“Colin and Livia Firth have separated,” the former couple’s spokesperson exclusively told Us at the time. “They maintain a close friendship and remain united in their love for their children. They kindly ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”
The sustainability advocate explained to Hello! that she didn’t “miss” the fast-paced lifestyle of being with an Oscar-winning actor.
“Sometimes I look at my incredible high heels, gowns and clutches and think, I will never wear them again, and I can’t remember who that person was,” she said. “I’ve had so many lives; I was producing documentaries, then I married this Englishman who became a famous actor, and we grew a family. Then we happened to be at the Oscars, meeting all these crazy people. It’s funny how each moment of your life, at the time, becomes your reality.”

Livia went through a very difficult year in 2024 when her sustainable fashion consultancy brand, Eco-Age, shut down after 17 years. At the time, Livia revealed on Instagram that her business was “targeted by criminals” and she was unable to financially recover from “a serious financial fraud.”
“This marked the end of a 17 years epic journey that we shared with so many of you, who we see as our community and champions. We did so much and achieved more that we could have ever imagined,” Livia wrote in a joint statement with her Eco-Age partners.
Livia subsequently announced in July 2024 that she was “recovering from breast cancer surgery.” The activist said at the time that she was able to catch her diagnosis early thanks to her yearly mammogram.
“I am SO lucky that this did not go any further, SO grateful as I have the privilege of access to great medical care, SO aware that there are millions of people who do not and I am not taking any of it for granted,” she wrote via Instagram.

Speaking to Hello!, Livia said she was “not surprised” to have been diagnosed with cancer so soon after her fashion brand’s collapse.
“What was happening, it was really traumatic, probably one of the most traumatic moments in my life,” she said. “We grew this baby for 17 years, and you then realise that someone has stolen all the money. It wasn’t only the breast cancer, but for two months my body was covered in this huge, very itchy rash.”
