Colin Firth’s ex-wife Livia Giuggioli Firth says she and the Bridget Jones actor “have a wonderful relationship,” more than five years after they split in 2019
“I have a partner; he has a partner and we’re all together all the time. It’s an extended, crazy family,” Livia, who runs a sustainable farming business with her brothers in Italy, told Hello magazine

It’s been over five years since Colin Firth and his ex-wife Livia Giuggioli Firth ended their 22-year marriage, but according to Livia, the pair remains close-knit.
Livia, 55, opened up to Hello magazine about her life running a sustainable farming business with her brothers in Italy’s Umbria region, recent battle with breast cancer and the demise of her fashion brand Eco-Age in an article published Monday, May 5.
“We’re always together,” Livia, who is now dating Scottish climate activist Callum Griev, per the outlet, said of Colin, 64. “Colin and I have a wonderful relationship. We have worked on that a lot, and in keeping the family together. I have a partner; he has a partner and we’re all together all the time. It’s an extended, crazy family.”
Livia, an Italian native, and Colin first met on the set of the 1996-97 British-Italian miniseries Nostromo, which she worked on as a production assistant. The pair married in 1997 and welcomed two sons, Luca, 24, and Matteo, 21. (Colin also shares son Will, 34, with ex-girlfriend Meg Tilly, whom he dated in the 1990s.)
Livia and Colin’s marriage underwent a period of intense public scrutiny in the 2010s when Livia admitted she had an affair with an Italian journalist during a period of time when she and Colin had privately separated. Livia later accused that journalist of stalking her after their relationship ended and she and Colin reconciled. The civil case she and Colin brought against the alleged stalker was settled out of court in 2018. PEOPLE confirmed Livia and Colin had split for good in December 2019.

While speaking with Hello, Livia shared that her ex-husband and Callum “are good friends,” noting that they support the Premier League club Arsenal. “Arsenal is a big theme in our family,” she said.
When Livia was asked how she feels about what the outlet referred to as her “old life in London” during her marriage, she said, “I don’t miss any of it. Sometimes I look at my incredible high heels, gowns and clutches and think, I will never wear them again, and I can’t remember who that person was.”

“I’ve had so many lives; I was producing documentaries, then I married this English man who became a famous actor, and we grew a family,” Livia added. “Then we happened to be at the Oscars, meeting all these crazy people. It’s funny how each moment of your life, at the time, becomes your reality.”

When Livia spoke with the U.K.’s The Times in February, the businesswoman said she and Colin remain “very, very close friends” and emphasized that she does not miss attending major awards ceremonies.
“Colin is very private, so we always separated public life from our life,” she said at that time. “When you take that approach, you become like an avatar. You go there, you do it, you call your mum to say you saw George Clooney … but your real life has nothing to do with that. So when you don’t have it any more, it’s actually much nicer, because it was never you in the first place.”
Firth recently starred in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, which is now streaming on Peacock.
