On Monday night, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky remained the Met Gala’s reigning fashion royalty. And, in another iconic twist, the singer revealed she was pregnant and expecting their third child together. A moment of silence for this absolute serve, courtesy of Marc Jacobs:
The “Breakin’ Dishes” hitmaker also caught up with Ciara and her husband, Russell Wilson, inside the Fashion Super Bowl. The day after the coveted event, Ciara appeared on Sherri and recounted the wholesome moment she shared with Rih.
“Oh my gosh, it was so sweet running into her. I just have to shout her out ‘cause I’m so proud of her,” the “Goodies” singer gushed to host Sherri Shepherd. “This is her third baby she’s having now.”
“We were cracking up talking about, ’cause Russ was with us and A$AP, we all took a picture together, and he started talking about cinco because you know I have four,” she added, referring to the four children she shares with the New York Giants quarterback.
Ciara continued, “We start talking about quatro for her, but she got to get through the tres first, the third baby. Straight mommy talk, just sweet love, special moment for her. I got to shout her out because she also sent me a sweet DM a few months back saying she’s so proud of me.”
It seems like the Fenty Beauty founder only knows how to announce her pregnancies in the most legendary ways. In January 2022, she and the “Fashion Killa” rapper nearly broke the internet when they were spotted walking through the snowy streets of Harlem with Rih’s visible baby bump. She made the big reveal again during her historic Super Bowl halftime show performance the following year.
Following the Met Gala, an insider told People, “Rihanna has always wanted a big family, so she couldn’t be more excited. Rihanna and Rocky are thrilled to be growing their family and they can’t wait to give their boys another sibling.”
The source added, “They wanted to have their children close together in age, so that they could grow up together and share a close bond. They feel so blessed and are so grateful for this next chapter in their lives. It’s a very special time.”
