Christina Hendricks has spent the last several years orchestrating in-depth home renovations, from her own New York home to a historic residence she saved from demolition, but now, she’s giving DIY a shot.
When the Good Girls star decided she wanted a new look for her ornate fireplace, she took matters into her own hands, and the results were so impressive, fans are hoping to hire the actress for a house call.
“I decided to try these tile stickers I found online and give the fireplace a little sprucing yesterday since I wasn’t ready for the expense and upheaval to demo the whole thing,” she explained, alongside several photos showing off the process. “I’m not gonna lie, they look great!!!! Takes a little time and patience but I’m really impressed!!!”
Initially, the fireplace featured a black brick façade with black tilework on the ground, but when all was said and done, Hendricks installed a pretty blue and white floral pattern faux tile on the front with a turquoise set of faux tiles covering up the floor area, which pulled in the art propped on mantle.
