Christina Applegate and Ed Helms, who costarred in 2015’s Vacation, shared that they were “obsessed” with Chris Hemsworth when he filmed a cameo in the comedy

They raved about him being the “chillest, coolest dude,” but admitted he’s so “sculpted” that “it looks fake”
Christina Applegate and Ed Helms said that they couldn’t stop staring at Chris Hemsworth when he filmed a cameo in their 2015 update of Vacation, saying he’s so ripped “it looks fake.”
“You and I didn’t stop talking about Chris Hemsworth for days,” Christina, 53, said during Helms’ Aug. 12 appearance on her and Jamie-Lynn Sigler’s podcast, MesSy. “I think we were slightly obsessed,” she said, sharing, “We would get on the phone and still talk about Chris Hemsworth, and we’d talk about him there on set and after we were done.”

Helms, 51, explained that the whole time they were shooting the comedy, “There was this sense of, like, ‘Did we get Thor to be in our movie? Like, did we actually get him yet?’ And then we got him, and it was like, ‘Oh my god. Chris Hemsworth’s coming! What’s he gonna be like? What’s Chris Hemsworth like?’ And then he shows up. He’s the chillest, coolest dude, and he’s so psyched to be there.”
While Applegate and Helms raved about how the Sexiest Man Alive alum was game for the movie’s bawdy jokes — “he just brought more joy and was ready to play and have fun and be sort of, like, foolish,” Helms said. Applegate pointed out, “We marveled at [him] … We didn’t understand his physique.”
“No, you can’t,” Helms said.
“When you look at something like that in front of you,” Applegate began.
“So sculpted,” he said.
“It’s fake. It looks fake,” she said.
”Did he eat, like, super clean, or did he eat, like, a doughnut?” Sigler asked.

“He’s working out constantly,” Applegate explained. “He was doing, like, full crazy weird workout-y stuff. “
“He’s a cartoon character. Like, his body is like, drawn by a comic book artist,” Helms said. “There’s the whole scene where we’re gawking at his body. Like, that is the scene, and we weren’t acting,” Ed explained. “That was an honest reaction.”
“We’re talking about Chris Hemsworth again,” Christina said. “We’re gonna continue, I’m sure.”
