Christie Brinkley revealed the shocking responses she got on a dating app after her daughter, Sailor, 27, made her a profile under a different name
The supermodel, who appeared on Kristin Davis‘ Are You a Charlotte? podcast, revealed that she and her youngest received likes from the same men on a matchmaking platform

Christie Brinkley and her daughter, Sailor, have a lot more in common than what meets the eye.
On the Aug. 4 episode of Kristin Davis’ Are You a Charlotte? podcast, the supermodel, 71, said her “mischievous” youngest, 27, created a short-term dating profile for her under a different moniker. After an hour, both Brinkleys were shocked at the results.
“[Sailor] said, ‘Mom, you’re right not to go on [dating apps] because the same guys that, you know, said yes to me are saying yes to you,’ ” explained Brinkley.
Davis was shocked by the responses. “I love this experiment. Smart Sailor. That is a really fascinating, fascinating little experiment,” the Sex & the City star, 60, said.
Brinkley then shared her outlook on dating. “I think that what I find is that what men like to do is sort of be able to find somebody that’ll be impressed by every little thing that they do,” she said.

When it comes to romance, Brinkley’s love life has made headlines many times, specifically for her star-studded roster, which most notably includes singer Billy Joel, whom she met in 1983 at a St. Bars motel dive bar.
While she famously starred in Joel’s music video for his hit song “Uptown Girl,” which she also titled her memoir after, the now-exes’ bond ran much deeper off-camera. In April, Brinkley opened up exclusively to PEOPLE about her connection with Joel long before they began dating.
“We laughed like you couldn’t believe,” she told PEOPLE. “But also he was so sensitive and he did all the old-fashioned things, the flowers, the notes and the poems and the songs. He was going into the recording studio and he was writing all these songs and saying ‘This one’s for you.’ How could I not fall in love with him?”
Their respective careers took a toll on the relationship and they divorced in 1994, but have remained “great” friends and co-parents to their daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, born on Dec. 29, 1985.
Brinkley was also married to Jean-François Allaux, Richard Taubman and Peter Cook. She shares son Jack Paris, 30. Brinkley also shares Sailor with Cook, who also adopted Jack.
Twinning (although accidental) for Brinkley and her daughter isn’t exclusive to the dating world. In fact, the two love to coordinate their chic fashion senses.
They most recently stepping out in synchronized style at the Solving Kids Cancer Annual Hamptons Luncheon hosted on Aug. 4, wearing the same plunging orange looks by Donna Karan and even similar hairstyles.

Speaking with PEOPLE at Sports Illustrated Swimsuit ‘s 60th anniversary issue launch party, Brinkley shared how Sailor helps her embrace her personal style.
“Sailor is very strong and, you know, she has very strong opinions about feeling good about yourself because she’s gone through strong feelings [of] not feeling good about herself,” she said. “So, she’s really into empowering herself to feel confident and good. And she’ll say to me if ever I’m doubtful, ‘Mom, you’re beautiful, embrace it, you know, go with it, lean into it.’ “
