Christie Brinkley just turned the sidewalks of N.Y.C. into her own personal catwalk.
The model, 71, stepped out in style in N.Y.C. on April 28 while doing press for her new book, Uptown Girl: A Memoir.
For Brinkley’s visits to The View and Today, the icon opted for a monochromatic look with a retro twist. She teamed an oversize, blush pink blazer with double lapels and black buttons, with pink high-waisted short-shorts that showed off her famous legs.

Brinkley completed the outfit with a light pink button-down top worn open to expose a lacy black bra. The star kept the rest of her pin-up worthy look classic, accessorizing with a pearl necklace and black pumps on her feet. For makeup, she kept the pink tones going with a rosy pink blush and matching lip gloss shade.

In a recent cover interview with PEOPLE, Brinkley shared some insight into her skincare and wellness routines, revealing that she mainly opts for lasers instead of plastic surgery to keep her looking and feeling her best.
“I mainly do lasers,” she said. ”I don’t try to get rid of every wrinkle.” Brinkley isn’t opposed to fillers, either — “I’ve dabbled with fillers and I go to my doctor in the city,” she added.

Ahead of her 70th birthday, Brinkley told PEOPLE in 2024 that she didn’t “want to look ‘done’ or anything. I just did Fraxel [a skin resurfacing treatment] because I had skin cancer and that helps get rid of pre-cancerous cells. It’s mainly about health for me now.”
“I want to accept certain wrinkles. That’s the way I’m approaching aging,” she explained. “Sometimes when people get older, and they overdo it, they can look waxy and — I don’t know what the word is — preserved or something. I want a little life to show on my face, you know?”
Now that the model is in her 70s, she is relaxing more in her approach to beauty, revealing she is “kind of more comfortable just letting it be.”

In her wide-ranging new memoir, Brinkley documents her life and career in her own words, beginning with her childhood and her rough relationship with her biological father at the start of her modeling career, after being discovered outside a phone booth in Paris in 1974.
She also opens up about her beloved on-screen work in films like 1983’s National Lampoon’s Vacation — and her relationship with ex-husband Billy Joel, whose 1983 music video for his hit song “Uptown Girl” famously stars a young Brinkley.
