Christie Brinkley may eternally be known as an “Uptown Girl,” but the legendary supermodel has folks glancing down to catch a view of her toned legs.
Brinkley, 71, sported a chic pair of pink shorts as she headed in to chat with the lovely ladies of The View about her upcoming memoir, appropriately titled “Uptown Girl.” (Brinkley, of course, famously starred in ex-husband Billy Joel‘s 1983 music video for the tune of the same name.)
Brinkley paired the short shorts with a pastel pink coat and a pink button-down Oxford shirt, showing a peekaboo of black lingerie underneath. Naturally, her signature golden locks and bright smile completed the look.
While Brinkley and Joel were happily married for several years, they officially called it quits in 1994. In an interview with Page Six, Brinkley shared that it Joel’s partying ways that doomed the relationship.

“If there wasn’t that issue … ,” Brinkley elaborated. “I do think that we were probably really soulmates, it was an amazing time of my life.”
However, the last straw came when Joel drunkenly accused his band of eating his pasta, which he had actually eaten himself, Brinkley went on to tell Page Six. She filed for divorce the day after.
Despite their ups and downs, Brinkley and Joel share a daughter, Alexa Ray, who is now 39.
