Christie Brinkley and her daughter, Sailor Brinkley Cook, were shocked by the results of a dating app experiment.
“I’m not on any kind of dating app like that, but my daughter Sailor — she’s so mischievous — she wanted to see what kind of guys [I matched with], and for like an hour or something, she put me up there with a name,” the supermodel, 71, revealed during the Monday, August 4, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Are You a Charlotte?” podcast. “And she said, ‘Mom, you’re right not to go on it because the same guys that said yes to me are saying yes to you.’”
Christie was 44 when she welcomed Sailor, now 27, with her ex-husband Peter Cook in July 1998 after undergoing in-vitro fertilization.
During her Monday podcast appearance, Christie speculated about why older men are notoriously interested in younger women.

“I find that what men like to do is sort of be able to find somebody that’s very ‘oh,’ that’ll be impressed by every little thing that they do,” she said. “Like, ‘Oh, really? Oh, you’re taking me to that restaurant?’”
While Christie is single now, she was previously married to Jean-François Allaux from 1975 to 1981, Billy Joel from 1985 to 1994, Richard Taubman from 1994 to 1995 and Cook from 1996 to 2008. After her fourth divorce, she dated John Mellencamp from 2015 to 2016, which was her most recently reported relationship.
Christie shares daughter Alexa Ray, 39, with Joel and son Jack, 30, with Taubman, though Cook adopted Jack during his marriage to Christie.
As for Sailor, she tends to keep her love life private. However, she was previously linked to Ben Sosne from 2019 to 2020.
In her July 2022 Social Life magazine cover story, Christie shared the dating advice she gives to her kids.
“I tell them you need laughter and trust,” she noted. “The type of trust you can only have with someone who is willing to go through the ups and downs with you. And of course, romance!”
