OG fashion It girl Chloë Sevigny is always here to deliver unexpected styling inspiration. Whether she’s wearing a bomber as a minidress, pairing plaid with more plaid, or bedazzling a schoolgirl outfit, the actor is that girl, through and through.
This Tuesday, Sevigny once again proved her dressing prowess while at a screening of Magic Farm at New York City’s Roxy Hotel. Her fit offered a lot to unpack.
At the base, Sevigny wore a black bodysuit. She didn’t tuck the piece into pants or even a structured skirt but rather wrapped a Vaquera silk printed scarf around her waist to emulate a flowing maxi skirt.
The scarf was black and gold, with a graphic chunky chain print. Text all over read, “New York City” and “Vaquera.” The accessory retails for only $135 at Ssense and, sure enough, can make a fun asymmetric skirt if you want it badly enough.
Up top, the Monsters star wore a super-cropped red-and-black-striped windbreaker, also from Vaquera, over her bodysuit. The sporty zip-up piece ($465) covered only the top of Sevigny’s chest and arms.
To match the vibrant red of her jacket, she slipped into a pair of firetruck-red heeled mules, each with a triangular peep-toe cutout (ICYMI, peep toes are hot right now). The vibrant leather shoes seem to be from River Island.
Sevigny finished her maximalist fit with a black leather handbag with ruched detailing, gold hoop earrings, and a bold blood-red lip.
