Talk about a bunch of cheapskates.

There’s nothing worse than a wedding not only taking place outside on a scorching hot summer day but one where the bride and groom are as stingy as can be.

One disgruntled wedding guest took to Reddit’s r/weddingshaming subreddit to complain about a “disaster of a wedding” they recently attended.

“From start to not-even-finish because I left early, it was a mess,” wrote the OP. They explained that the wedding invite only disclosed the location and time — no other information, not even a dress code. “That was the only information given on the invitation, and there was no wedding website to get more information.”

The wedding sounded like a worst-case scenario situation: “Turns out, it was an outdoor wedding on a humid 95-degree and sunny afternoon (thought it was indoor because I looked up the venue). People were in shorts, tees, and slip-ons, and others were in floor-length gowns. One lady was in a full white dress.”

Based on what the OP described, the ceremony was lengthy with screaming children interrupting throughout. But that was only the beginning.

“At this point, I am drowning in my own sweat, and all I want is water. I’m not paying attention to the people in front of me because I’m busy trying to fight off flies. My turn in line and I ask for water. ‘You got it, $2,’” the original poster shared.

“I look up and I see the sign. No free beverages, period. Not even water. I take a second to internalize and pull out my card. The man says, ‘Oh I’m so sorry, we operate with cash-only.’”

And yes, this isn’t even the tip of the wedding disaster iceberg.

When it came time to eat dinner — a homemade buffet with annoying flies all over it was served to guests. Once dessert came out, “There are no plates, napkins, forks, nothing. The buffet equipment has been cleared. So I watched as people walked around holding dessert in their hands.”

After some more wild explanations of the night, the OP concluded by writing, “I truly don’t feel like this was real life. Like this had to be a practical joke, right?? I may politely decline invitations I have no information about moving forward.”

The almost 300 comments in the thread validated the OP’s strong feelings about this shocking wedding.

“This wasn’t a wedding. It was a survival challenge.”

“Frickin’ yikes. I’m glad no one got dehydrated and passed out or worse. I’m both glad and amazed.”

“…I laughed out loud at people carrying dessert in their hands.”

“That actually sounds dangerous — the heat, no free water, food giving people diarrhea.”

As wild as this story is, this couple isn’t the only one who deprived guests at their wedding.

One bridezilla literally banned water bottles from her wedding because it didn’t match the aesthetic she was going for — despite the nuptials taking place on a 102°F day.

“She apparently thought water bottles in photos would ruin the vibe,” a post, uploaded to r/weddingshaming on July 2, claimed.

It was so bad that someone almost passed out during the vows.
