Cecily Strong might’ve had the best first Mother’s Day that anyone could have.
The actress, 41, shared a snap on her Instagram on Monday, May 12, as she reflected on her first Mother’s Day after welcoming her baby daughter with fiancé Jack back in April. In the photo, Jack could be seen holding the couple’s baby as Strong returned to the Saturday Night Live stage for the first time since becoming a mom.
“Best first Mother’s Day ever,” Strong raved. “Bébé Strong MacG got to meet so many of the people I love so so much, including Colin Jessica Jost who wore a parka for their first meeting 😜.”

The proud mom said she touted her daughter all around the studio and had her meet all her friends, including “longtime stage manager” Gena and even Lorne Michaels. “We met Lorne who said she’s the future of television (jkjkjk),” joked Strong.
“I’ve been lucky enough to have some beautiful Mother’s Days at SNL with my own mama (including one show hosted by the mother of unintentional baby tees and intentional Nazi Salutes herself, Ms. Elon Musk),” Strong wrote towards the end of her lengthy caption, “but this one takes the cake.”
“I hope bb thinks it’s cool up until she’s 13/14/15/16 when she probably thinks I’m an embarrassing biotch, and then cool again from 17 onward ❤️ Love you babygirl and love you Snl ❤️❤️❤️.”
Strong shared she’d welcomed her first baby with her fiancé Jack on April 2, announcing the exciting news on Instagram a little over a week later on April 10.
“It’s been a week and a day with my beautiful squirmy baby girl,” the Schmigadoon! star captioned a sweet aerial photo of herself sleeping next to her baby girl’s bassinet.
“I recognize all her little squirms and kicks from when she was on the other side of me and now I get to say ‘see what I was talking about!’ ” Strong added. “She makes Robert De Niro faces and snorts when she is super determined on the boob. She’s gonna be stronger than me in about a week. Her squeaks and sighs are my favorite noises on earth.”
Without sharing her daughter’s name, Strong gushed over her newborn, saying, “Born with a full head of dark hair which made me scream ‘whoo hoo!’ while pushing. And I’ve been screaming ‘Whoo hoo’ every day since because she’s absolutely perfect and I won the lottery.”
