Look out, Margo Banks — a casting company has put out a call for the “real hunting wives of the South,” presumably bringing a dose of reality TV to the posse of gun-toting Southern belles in Netflix’s buzzy new series The Hunting Wives.

According to a casting call posted to social media by Ain’t That Something Entertainment and Spoke Studios on Tuesday, they’re working with an unspecified “major streaming service” to assemble “a close-knit circle of southern friends navigating faith, friendship, and life’s untold chapters.”

Touting “big personalities” and “bold stories,” the casting call instructs interested parties to contact Ain’t That Something with the story of their friend group.

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to Ain’t That Something, Netflix, and Hunting Wives production company Lionsgate for further comment.

The casting call comes on the heels of The Hunting Wives debuting on Netflix last month, captivating viewers with its scandalous storyline, and taking the streamer’s top spot in the U.S.

Based on May Cobb’s best-selling novel of the same name, The Hunting Wives follows Sophie (Brittany Snow) and her family as they relocate from Boston to Texas. Once there, she becomes entangled with Margo (Malin Akerman), the leader of an exclusive socialite group referred to as the Hunting Wives.

Sophie develops an intense bond with Margo, who’s married to Republican politician Jed (Dermot Mulroney) and is also prone to pounding bottles of wine and partaking in the occasional ménage à trois. Things get particularly complicated after the murder of a local teenager, Abby (Madison Wolfe).

As season 1 draws to a close, Sophie is locked up after her gun is discovered to have been the murder weapon. But there are multiple suspects in Abby’s case, and the truth highlights the consequences of the Hunting Wives’ reckless, hedonistic lifestyle.

Although Cobb’s book is a standalone novel, the show’s stars been angling for a second season of The Hunting Wives after a cliffhanger ending.

Akerman made it clear during a recent chat with Decider that she’s open to returning for another season. “I am super excited and nervous. I think the nerves come from — for me, it’s really wanting this to go for a second season because I love everybody that I got to work with and it would be a dream come true to go again,” she said. “So my nerves are around the fact that I just want and wish for everyone to love it so much that we get another season.”

Considering how differently the show handles the season 1 ending, a second installment would probably come as a surprise for readers who know the show pushes the story past the book’s original boundaries.

“I think that the book was really the blueprint for us taking it and making it our own,” Snow told Decider. “And May Cobb, the author, was there a lot on set and with us every step of the way and she was so supportive and so excited by it all. We really got her blessing to take these characters that she wrote in the book and then make them sort of an amalgamation of all these different things that we kind have found along the way shooting.”

But there’s plenty left to untangle in a potential season 2. (Spoilers for season 1 follow.)

With Kyle (Michael Aaron Milligan) and Jill’s (Katie Lowes) deaths hanging heavy over everyone, a new season could dive deep into their murder investigations. While the audience knows Sophie is responsible for Kyle’s death, the characters would be left scrambling to uncover the truth and decide who to trust.

And then there’s Sophie and Margo’s tangled relationship. Will they find a way to rekindle their affair, or is Margo convinced that Sophie had a hand in her brother’s death? The emotional stakes couldn’t be higher.

In the meantime, season 1 of The Hunting Wives is streaming on Netflix.
