In honor of Mother’s Day, Carrie Underwood posted a sweet photo of her and her mom, Carole Underwood, to Instagram. The two are standing in front of a wood fence with Carrie dressed in an extravagant blue ruffled dress and white ruffled shirt inspired by Alice in Wonderland, in theme with American Idol‘s “Disney Night.” Carole wore a pair of olive slacks and a floral shirt. In the comments of the photo, fans couldn’t help but point out the same thing.
“So glad to have my mom with me on @americanidol tonight! I’m missing my boys, but she made this Mother’s Day extra special! ❤️” Carrie captioned the photo of her and her mom.

The two are posing with their arms around each other, smiling ear-to-ear for the camera.
Several fans agreed: the Carrie apple didn’t fall too far from the Carole tree.
