Carrie Underwood Shares Creepy Photo From Her Farm originally appeared on Parade.
Carrie Underwood is a country gal, through and through — even when it comes to the creepy crawlies.
When the “Before He Cheats” singer isn’t busy judging American Idol, wowing audiences night after night on tour — or simply being mom to her young sons with husband Mike Fisher — Underwood isn’t afraid to get down and dirty … on the land, that is.
On Friday, August 1, Underwood, 42, took to her Instagram Story to share a series of outdoorsy photos in her garden, per Taste of Country — including a close-up shot of a large black spider in a web.
“Do you see what I see?” the Idol season 4 winner captioned the zoomed-in shot of the arachnid, which appears to be the dangerous black widow spider based on its trademark red “hourglass” marking.
Per National Geographic, the black widow’s “deadly poison is said to be 15 times stronger than rattlesnake venom,” and though the poison is “rarely fatal to humans, it can cause severe pain and nausea.”
Underwood, however, appeared to be unbothered by the spider’s residence — not just because she zoomed in on the creature, but also because she continued to proudly share other shots from her family’s expansive farm. (The “Jesus Take the Wheel” singer, Fisher, and their two boys, Isaiah, 10, and Jacob, 6, live on a 400-acre farm in Franklin, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville.)
“Look at all this garlic! 😍😍😍,” she boasted in the next photo on her Story, which featured dozens of garlic bulbs.
The eight-time Grammy winner, who originally hails from Oklahoma, frequently shows off the farm and all of its amenities on her Instagram account. Not only does she proudly post pics of her latest offerings (including watermelon and limes) she’s also not afraid to talk about the creepier moments, either — like how, earlier this summer, she was forced to escape a giant swarm of bees in her orchard.
