Cardi B has yet to let us down on a red carpet, and this year’s Met Gala is no exception. The rapper showed up at the celeb-packed event, interpreting the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme with a stunning green velvet Burberry suit.
The suit even has a cool back cutout detail:
Before hitting the Met Gala red carpet, Cardi B kept her outfit a safe secret by leaving her hotel while escorted by a bunch of twirling Burberry umbrellas.

Cardi and her stylist Kollin Carter spoke about her Met Gala looks with The Hollywood Reporter last year, with Carter saying her 2019 outfit “broke Cardi B into the next level of the fashion world. People who didn’t take us seriously were like, ‘OK, they’re here to stay.'”
The stylist added, “We’ve given look after look, year after year. We’ve reached into archives that are impossible to reach into. We caused a cultural shift. I don’t think there were many women like Cardi who existed in the fashion space. Now, there are a ton of other rap females who aspire to be in that space because they see what’s possible. We set trends.”
