“I was always put on a diet,” began Cameron Bure in the clip. “But it wasn’t like, ‘Oh, you have to lose weight.’ It’s just, ‘We’re gonna do this as preventative. We want to teach you how to be healthy and exercise.'”
While the intentions appeared to be good, the mother of three revealed that she then made decisions based on “a fear that I could develop an eating disorder because I’m on TV, because that’s the pressure. And I don’t want to be too fat compared to other actors because then producers might tell me that I need to lose weight.”

Cameron Bure shared that her parents “never wanted a producer to come up to me and say like, ‘We need your child to lose weight.'” And so, they tried to take “preventative” action.
“And yet, that very thing just shaped the way I looked at my body, which was like, ‘Oh, it’s not good enough the way it is right now,'” admitted the 49-year-old.
In the caption for the new episode of the podcast, which is the first of Season 11, Cameron Bure wrote, “Let’s talk about growing up with disordered eating…” as a preview for the full episode.
Cameron Bure has been open about her struggles with body image and dieting as a child actor in the past, and she often keeps fans up to date about her current personal health on social media.
