Alex Cooper, creator and host of the megahit podcast “Call Her Daddy,” will be the subject of a new Hulu docuseries titled “Call Her Alex.” The series will debut at Tribeca Film Festival on June 8, with its Hulu premiere coming on June 10.

In two parts, “Call Her Alex” will follow Cooper in the lead-up to her first tour. Per the official logline, the doc looks at her early years as “a self-conscious kid growing up in Pennsylvania” and charts her rise “from a 24-year-old woman with a sex and dating podcast to the CEO of a media empire in just six years.”

“I’ve shared my life with the Daddy Gang since I started ‘Call Her Daddy’ — but this documentary series takes it even deeper,” Cooper said in a statement. “It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the moments that shaped me — the raw, the messy, the personal stuff I’ve never felt comfortable sharing until now. My hope is that by bringing people along for this part of my journey, they’ll feel both more connected to my life and more empowered in their own.”

“Call Her Daddy” began in 2018 and was originally owned and produced by Barstool Sports before moving to Spotify in 2021. In 2024, Cooper and “Call Her Daddy” entered a $125 million multiyear deal at SiriusXM, one of the biggest podcast deals in history.

“Call Her Alex” is directed by Ry Russo-Young, best known for the 2021 HBO docuseries “Nuclear Family.” Cooper’s Unwell Productions banner produces the series, which is executive produced by Russo-Young, Braden Bochner and Christopher Foss. Holly Siegel serves as producer. The deal was negotiated by Hulu and by Lionsgate on behalf of Unwell.
