‘Britain’s Got Talent’ Alum Susan Boyle Overjoyed by Oasis Tribute: ‘You’ve Made This Old Girl’s Day’ originally appeared on Parade.
Britain’s Got Talent alum Susan Boyle was left beaming with gratitude and surprise after receiving a heartfelt dedication from Oasis.
During their tour in Edinburgh on Tuesday, the legendary rock band dedicated one of their classic hits to the 64-year-old.
“This one’s for Susan Boyle,” Liam Gallagher said in front of the massive crowd before singing their track “Stand By Me.”
Apart from their on-stage tribute, the award-winning band also took to social media to express their admiration for the former Britain’s Got Talent star.
“THIS ONE’S FOR SUSAN BOYLE. Edinburgh Night Three. 12.08.25” the caption read along with a black and white photo showing the highlights during the tour.
Following the special shoutout, Boyle, who appears to have missed the show, lit up the comments section, gushing over the sweet gesture.
“Gutted to have missed you in Edinburgh, but hope to do the Poznan soon!” she replied.
Besides the social media interaction, the Scottish singer posted a photo donning Oasis merch — complete with the band’s shirt and black bucket hat as she posed with two thumbs up, signaling her full support and appreciation for the band’s kind gesture.

“Thanks so much for the dedication, @liamgallagher. You’ve made this old girl’s day. Hope to see you and the rest of @oasis at Wembley in September for a wee bit of Poznan. Big love to you all,” she wrote.
After the Edinburgh show, the group went to Dublin, Ireland, to continue the tour and will head to Canada and the U.S. this month as part of their international run of performances.
