Brie Larson plays Francine in season 4, episode 7 of The Bear
The introduction of the character brought some clues as to what happened between her and Natalie “Sugar” Berzatto (Abby Elliott)

The Bear fans have finally met Francine Fak!
During season 4, episode 7 of the hit FX series, Brie Larson makes a cameo appearance as Francine, who reunites with Natalie “Sugar” Berzatto (Abby Elliott) at Tiff’s (Gillian Jacobs) and Frank (Josh Hartnett)’s wedding following a bitter feud between them.
Francine — who is the sister to Neil (Matty Matheson) and Teddy (Ricky Staffieri) — arrived in her Sunday best, including a floral yellow dress and headband, to the festivities. However, Francine and Sugar couldn’t help but yell at each other.
Accusations were thrown back and forth over whipped cream, not having a cellphone, being drunk and more in their shared past.

While the introduction of Francine didn’t bring too many answers about what caused the divide between her and Sugar, the episode did drop some breadcrumbs about their feud.
Ted teased a potential reason for the pair’s fight, saying, “Pete’s [Chris Witaske] in denial about these two hooking up.”
The claim caused Pete to scoff, adding, “You two did not hook up.” Sugar and Francie exchange a look before Sugar says, “Well…”
By the end of the episode, the pair try to hash things out. “Francie, you wanna maybe try and be friends?” Sugar asked before adding, “You won’t f— me over?”
The character of Francine has been mentioned since season 2 of The Bear.
On episode 6 of the second season, Ted and Neil confirmed that she had been banned from Christmas dinner due to “the thing” that made Sugar “mad”. Two episodes later, Sugar shot down Neil’s suggestion that Francine come to The Bear’s Friends and Family dinner, saying, “She can go f—-, my love!”
In season 4, viewers got a peek at the heated text exchange between Sugar and Francine, which included “You are f—— dead to me” messages.
